The islands notorious BEACH PARTY every wednesday at LEGENDS…
Happy, youthful, free people dancing around on the sand, amongst campfires to nonstop party music. An impressive light show, less clubby and more 90s school disco, and a happy DJ in his little tree house platform booth. Bintangs flowing, surfers and fun-loving teens woven between skinny Indonesian boys and wrinkled, sun beaten old women- in flowing rainbow dresses with AUM tattoos. And all the while the moonlight shone gloriously in the the night sky.
The only thing I have to complain about was THE TOILET. I though it could get no worse than Londons own mega club toilets, but wow. When reminiscing or dreaming of the sublime sunsets seen in Gilli air, it is easy- perhaps convenient to forget all about the SQUAT TOILET.
Am now writing from my comfy, sumptuous bed in Singapore. We jumped on a near empty 3 hour flight, after which our entire journey seemed hassle free.by
