Our photos from walking the streets of Ko Samui Thailand
Mikhail has developed a new obsession with Pancakes, and stops at the street vendors for a banana and Nutella one daily. (sometimes twice) Last night, we went for dinner at the night market on the other side of the island to Chaweng and had some BBQd mushrooms, then we had to stand in line for Miks daily dose of banana pancake, and the girl in front was having Crab meat with jam and smarties! Euck!!

We have been walking around the fisherman’s village, a street filled with shops selling funky merchandise and on fridays, theres a street market and trying on wacky tiedye outfits and getting hair braids. I have lost my beer drinking virginity as I have now finished at least 5 Chang beers in total! We found a spanish tapas restaurant and we have been eating Jamon Ibirico and drinking sangria like we did when we first met almost three years ago.

The people in Ko Samui are less friendly than in Phuket, especially when bargaining! Everything is more expensive here as theres plenty of willing tourists around.

We have been riding around on scooter taxis, and buying fresh fruits and veg from the local fruit market and just generally spending time at the beach!

We have been taking the short 10 mins walk through an abandoned quarry amonst strange looking cats to the hospital every day. Mikhails back is healing well and we are allowed to leave Samui for Chiang Mai this weekend to visit the elephants at the Elephant Nature Park!!!

The day we arrived was the Queen of Thailand’s birthday and also my sisters! We came by old school plane with her props out on show, and I was a bit apprehensive!

Our time here so far has been wonderful and now were off for a traditional Thai cooking lesson! Miky and I have loved all the get well soon messages from you lovely people. Thanks so much all for your continued love and support.
