We decided to spent some time in Legazpi to explore the city, see the famous live Volcano Mount Mayon and to organize our tourist visas.

Air conditioning, room service, a swimming pool and more. We can now really appreciate the luxuries our hotel in Legazpi offers us after having a rickety standing fan for 5 days in Donsol. We left Donsol yesterday and took a spacious, private, air-conditioned bus to  Legazpi, which took around an hour. Since being in Legazpi, (other than lying directly underneath the air-conditioning unit, eyes shut.. mouth open in a gormless ecstasy, enjoying its delightful breeze) we have extended our visas. Upon arrival tourists are granted 30 days stay automatically; as we intend to spend longer here in the Philippines exploring the mesmerizing islands and diverse marine world we set out to extend. The process was straight forward and hassle free, although there were very few smiles in the Legazpi Bureau of immigration, the 29 day extension was granted without unnecessary delay and cost us PHP 3,030.
