We checked into our accommodation, another cozy beach bungalow. This time, minus the essential a/c.. DUN DUN DUNNNNN! But hey, its good to be out of your comfort zone occasionally. Victorias Bungalows, three smallish on-suite rooms . Woven bamboo and wood is structured to provide a comfortable shelter from the relentless sun. Hammocks and puppies laden around the exterior, immediately on the beach front. Darting from your personal porch area, across the scorching black sand to the hammock has become a sort of fun challenge for us both.
We arrived late afternoon and after familiarizing ourselves with the kind hearted Victoria the owner, and Jonathan whom also works there. They gave us lots of advice on things we can do. Donsol was our first stop in The Philippines so their advice and welcoming is priceless! The Bungalows face the sea, and you can walk straight out onto the beach. Although its not really a swimming beach, lots of litter and dark murky water.
This place is so quirky and cute, comfy hammocks are everywhere for you to chill in, with mediocre wifi around the lounging areas. If you request it (&I suggest you do!) Victoria will cook you an evening meal as well as your breakfast for a small extra price. I just love the way she recycles her plastics to make plant pots, or coconuts or beer bottles.
A very happy place to be!
